Books Worth Reading:

1. Berserk

Berserk

Guts The MC of the Japanese manga had a rough moment during his childhood. His mother passed away while hanging from the gallows, the same tree in which Guts was also born.

In his younger years, before turning an adult Guts constantly felt on the brink of death.

To not mention that as he’s grown into a tough man, he constantly engages in brutal battles to try to build his reputation.

Books Worth Reading:

This is the way life goes to Guts till the leader of Band of the Hawk known Griffith is brought into the picture.

Griffith recruited Guts into his mercenary unit after he defeated him in single-to-one combat. His time as a part of the Band of the Hawk began pretty well in the start.

In the band, it is where he also learns what unity feels like and also the feeling of belonging to yourself, and the feeling of the realization that you truly are a part of a family. to an extended family.

Obviously a number one on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

2. Vagabond

Vagabond

Vagabond is a long initiation manga that leads the protagonist to learn to be aware of what is happening around him as well as himself, and dedicate himself to the path to the blade.

Changes the name of his character to Miyamoto Musashi. He takes on and faces the most powerful warrior, who is entangled in an unending spiral of murder and shattered by his affection for Otsu who was his childhood friend.

Vagabond has been a truly distinctive work that I’d like to finish. But, the possible ending isn’t disappointing. I finished the manga in less than 4 weeks, and am awed by how engaging a story can be even without having great outcomes.

3. Vinland Saga

Vinland Saga

The story begins with the fierce Viking known as Askeladdwho has murdered Thors as a powerful and brave warrior after their encounter 10 years ago.

Books Worth Reading:

The incident was the catalyst for the rise of the main character of the tale, Thorfinn. He is Thorfinn, the father of Thors and who, out of everyone, witnessed with his two eyes the exact demise of his father at the fate of Askeladd.

This led Thorfinn to his goal of seeking revenge against the man who killed his father. Thorfinn is awash with many hatred and anger.

In offering Askeladd a real duel, he hopes to take him down. The aspiration started with being enlisted to Askeladd’s vessel as the villain’s crew tame villagers and even raid settlements.

Thorfinn was employed on the ship to enhance his abilities and gained the approval of Askeladd to fight alongside him.

4. Golden Kamuy

Golden Kamui

This manga is excellent and the story begins in an upbeat tone and keeps the pace to the very end. The characters are unique in their ways but they aren’t shallow in any way.

The art is excellent even though it’s drawn digitally, which means it loses some of the raw force.

Books Worth Reading:

The only issue I find is that in certain instances the story is a bit too much into the Ainu culture and its connection to food that serves not in any way form or shape or move it forward.

But as the story progresses the parts that are not emphasized are reduced. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to go through it because it’s a wild and entertaining ride from beginning to end.

4th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

5. Song Of The Long March

Song Of the long march

Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Vagabond, Real) is one of the most famous mangakas of the past, a genuine writer and artist. I think Xia Da is a promising young artist who is following in his footsteps.

Books Worth Reading:

Chang Ge Xing ( Chokako) has many similarities to a young woman’s version of Vagabond but the viewpoint is different, however, her character is relatable and resonates with me in exactly the way Vagabond does. Princess Li is a fantastic character. She is unreliable and young at moments, but you can’t want to see her develop.

It’s a manga* that I continue to read and never get bored of. 5th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

6. Historie

Historie

The story is set in Greece during the time of its ancient times, particularly during the expansion to Macedonia, Historie revolves around the story of our main character Eumenes.

The story takes us through his early days of life to his transition into becoming an adult, who, in all the stories we know as Alexander The Great’s secretary and, at the same time an officer in the general command of Alexander’s military.

Historie also had casts of characters including King Phillip II, as well as Aristotle who both hail from Macedonia and all of them in the period of 343 BC.

7. Ares

Ares

Ares is a very action-packed manhwa that is full of violence. Ares’s main goal is to achieve an improvement for the teacher Kiron.

Ares joins Temple Mercenaries and gains three close friends: Michael, Barrona, and Gogh. My opinion is that the way Ryu Kum Chel is doing with the various characters is incredibly cool.

Every time a new character is revealed, he’ll give you details about the background of the character.

Books Worth Reading:

Contrary to other mangas or manhwas which don’t provide information about the character’s background has always irritated me since I wasn’t sure why or what they came to have their story.

In the end, Ares is VERY action-packed and fun to read If you’re not afraid of being killed. 7th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

8. The Heroic Legend Of Arslan

The Heroic Legend of Arslan

How do I begin to describe the incredibleness in this comic?

It was completed over 30 years in the form of a light novel. There was an earlier partial manga adaptation that was published in the 1990s, but I’m not likely to take the time to read it because it was completed before the light novel was completed and I’m not sure the art is as gorgeous as the artwork for this adaptation.

Books Worth Reading:

This artist was the author of Fullmetal Alchemist. The way that he draws his characters is unique and yet it’s a fantastic style that I like.

The manga does a great job of capturing power dynamics, tactics, and politics. In all honesty, the strategies Narsus creates are likely the most interesting aspect of the comic.

However, that’s not the case because it’s all fantastic. It’s a great all-around manga. 8th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

9. Ad Astra: Scipio to Hannibal

Ad astra

The manga itself heavily concentrated on the story of Hannibal Barca in the first portion and Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus in the second part one of the more intriguing characters of the Second Punic War.

Books Worth Reading:

It is reasonable to claim the manga’s main focus was on Hannibal Barca. Hannibal is the primary focus until Cannae while Scipio became the focus right following.

The entire story could be made into a saga epic, with plenty of strategies, politicking, and melee actions.

Although it was an original story, it surprisingly revealed the human aspect of characters that are normally idolized in history books.

A simple recommendation for those who enjoy historical battles or Roman history in general. 9th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

10. Ryuurouden

Manga like kingdom

Middle school students, Shiro and Masumi, were enthralled by a dragon who led the two back to the period of the Three Kingdoms; situated in the past of China.

When they reached the dragon were rescued from their king, the Han Kingdom. Soon after, the Han Kingdom intervened, Masumi was kidnapped and Shiro barely got away with his death penalty.

As time passes, the story becomes complex as they remain in the distant past. 10th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

11. Bokko

Bokko

In the 2300s in China, there was an ancient clan known as the men of Bokk who were trained to help and defend threatened cities by risking their lives.

Kakuri one of these men is brought to Ryo, (a small city). He is distrusted and even feared. Kakuri gradually gains the trust of the Ryo citizens as Tcho empire’s huge army makes up the camp opposite the side of the river.

11th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

12. The Ravages Of Time

Manga like kingdom Ravages of time

The Ravages of Time is an adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms which focuses on the fortunes of Liu Bei Cao Cao, the Sun family, and The Sima family.

The Simas is a wealthy and prosperous merchant family led by the twenty-something Sima Yi who has demonstrated an ability to spot lucrative business opportunities since the age of just a few years.

The Sima family however has a darker side, in that they are the commanders of their group called the Handicapped Warriors – a group of mercenary assassins believed to be invincible.

This manga is full of intense politics. If you’re a fan of the kingdom, likely, you will also enjoy this one. Make sure that your brain can handle a complex plot that is constantly changing chapters.

12th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

13. Sangokushi

Sangokushi Manga Like Kingdom

The story is set in the ancient culture in that of the Chinese rulers as in the earlier manga, those who are currently in power have been corrupted by the power of authority and authority.

They appear to have power over themselves instead of the citizens which leads to an inexplicably unwritten law that says that each person should strive for his own goals.

Apart from that the suffering of people is exacerbated by wars coming from every direction. I can only imagine.

13th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.

14. Altair: A Record Of Battles

I’m loving this comic. The characters are intriguing even though there is very little to develop other than the main character. The story continues to be interesting while the illustrations are fun.

The issue with characters is somewhat resolved due to the manga’s absence of dependence on the main characters as well as side-character development since the majority of the story’s focus is concentrated on the development of the MC in terms of character and abilities.

In terms of plot, I can’t fault this manga. It flows smoothly and is well thought out. The characters influence the plot positively and the story never becomes boring.

The overarching war between Europe and North America that is shortly is a great plot-building mechanism, and I was interested enough to keep reading to draw my attention repeatedly.

The characters are typically utilized to help the story move forward, but not much more I do appreciate the rich stories and legends the manga contains in the troves.

14th on our list of best manga like Kingdom.
